[ About the Event]

A National Forum for Sport in the Turks and Caicos Islands

Sport in the Turks and Caicos Islands is growing in ambition, reach, and visibility. But long-term success in sport does not happen through talent alone. It requires a functional ecosystem: athletes, parents, coaches, schools, national sport governing bodies, government, and private-sector partners all working toward a shared vision.

Hosted by the Turks and Caicos Islands Sports Commission, it brings together some of the most respected voices in international sport for a full day of education, honest conversation, and national alignment.

This is a launching pad. Walk in informed. Walk out equipped.

[ Understanding the System ]

Sport is Bigger Than the Athlete

Behind every athlete who reaches the highest levels of competition is a network of people, institutions, and resources working together. We call this the sport ecosystem.

When the ecosystem functions well, athletes develop along a clear pathway, families receive the guidance they need, coaches operate within defined standards, and national governing bodies are aligned with shared goals. When it breaks down, the costs are high: athlete burnout, misaligned expectations, wasted investment, and lost potential.

The 2026 Symposium exists to strengthen every part of that ecosystem, together.

Ecosystem Components
Athletes
Parents and Families
Community
Coaches and Technical Staff
Sports Science and Athlete Support
Schools and Institutions
Private Sector and Sponsors
National Federations (NSGBs)
The Sports Commission
Government

When systems align, athletes progress. Every stakeholder. Every action. Every time.
